We have been informed by several users that they cannot upgrade LoginCode 1.3.0 because the setup process stops on a message saying that previous version of LoginCode is still running, even when it is actually closed. The image below shows the message which apparently never disappears.
After researching the issue, we've found that the problem affects users running Windows Vista with UAC enabled who have installed LoginCode version 1.3.0. In fact, the Uninstall and Repair options are also broken the same way.
If you are facing this problem, please uninstall LoginCode using administrator privileges. To do it as quickly as possible, please follow the instructions specified below. Then you can download and install the latest LoginCode release which is free of above problem.
msiexec.exe /x {75011774-4F01-4DC7-B76A-4027FA816E74}
msiexec.exe is a tool from Microsoft which is resposible for installation of any software utilizing Windows Installer technology. /x switch commands the installer to remove the product from computer and the trailing part {75...74} is a unique identifier of LoginCode 1.3.0 product.
